Diocesan, Pallium and Consistory Pilgrimages
For centuries, Christians have been traveling to places of great historical and religious significance as a way to deepen knowledge about their religious heritage, to invigorate faith and to broaden perspectives about the universal Church to which they belong. There are few places like Rome where one can visit sites that span the entire history of Christianity—from early house churches and underground cemeteries to magnificent Renaissance basilicas. For centuries, Rome has been a favorite pilgrimage destination.
Many dioceses and archdioceses have found that diocesan-wide pilgrimages afford a unique opportunity for the faithful to journey and pray with the Bishop at sites associated with the earliest martyrs and leaders of the Church at Rome. These events strengthen bonds with the Bishop/Archbishop, invigorate faith, and foster a greater commitment to supporting the development and vitality of the local church.
For thirty years, we have been coordinating Archdiocesan pilgrimages to Rome on the occasion of the reception of the Pallium on the feast of Peter and Paul, on the occasion of ad limina visits of bishops, or during special synods or consistories.
We invite you to experience the rich spiritual and educational activities that are part of our unique programming and the professional service with which we coordinate travel services and planned activities and excursions.
