Innovative international faculty development

As our world becomes more interdependent, it is vital that an effective curriculum include global perspectives. These include appreciation for the heritage of other lands and cultures as well as an understanding of how contemporary technological and cultural shifts are changing perspectives and life for local communities.

An engaging global curriculum flourishes when faculty travel to other lands and integrate their experiences into course syllabi. We make this opportunity available by innovative international faculty development seminars.

We have had the privilege of working with a number of colleges and universities in coordinating programs where professors representing diverse disciplines travel together to explore history, politics, economics, language, art, religion, and other facets of a local culture. These overseas experiences have proven instrumental in invigorating their research, enhancing their writing, and instilling a passion about international perspectives in their teaching and curriculum development.

For those who have been thinking about developing effective short-term study tours, faculty development programs are a great way to orient them to the dynamics and opportunities for international group travel.

We offer a full range of services to academic institutions to develop and coordinate faculty development international learning experiences. These include engaging local experts to orient faculty to historical sites, facilitation of entrances into restricted sites, and coordination of travel services such as flights, ground transportation, hotels, meals and meeting space.
