Shaping faith leadership
Ministry today requires a global consciousness, an appreciation for cultural and religious plurality, and a sense of the historical context of scripture, church councils, and epochal events that have shaped our faith heritage. Those involved in the liturgical life of the Church benefit from experiencing the great artistic and architectural treasures of the Church.
Many seminaries, pastoral institutes, graduate programs in religious studies, and diaconate formation programs organize short study tours to places of great historical importance—such as Italy, Turkey, Israel, and Greece—as an important way to make church history come to life for students. Others organize study tours to places where religious traditions interface in unique ways—such as Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana, Spain and India to explore new ways of thinking about relationships between different faith communities. Some programs offer students the opportunity to study other religions—such as Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, and Islam in places where those traditions play a central role in defining local culture.
We offer a unique service—an in-house resident scholar of religion who works closely with you to integrate your learning objectives and curriculum with quality travel services and professional program management. We work with local professionals who handle the logistics of your program allowing you and your faculty to concentrate on the learning experiences you have in mind for your participants. Through our programs we deepen knowledge, nurture faith, and broaden perspectives—so that students become effective leaders of the people they serve.
