Join Msg. Edward Buelt and members of Notre Dame Parish for an inspiring and transformative journey to Israel and Jordan.  Many people consider the Holy Land to be the 5th Gospel – a place where the people, places and events of the scriptures come to life.  Much of the land continues to be evocative of the life and times of great men and women of faith.  Walking in the footsteps of Jesus on the shores of Galilee or in the narrow streets of the old city of Jerusalem are powerful experiences that change pilgrims forever.  Our program begins with visits to Mt. Nebo and Bethany-Beyond-the-Jordan (in Jordan) to trace the vision of Moses as he viewed the Promised Land and to celebrate the mission and announcement of John the Baptist at the Jordan River at the beginning of Jesus’ public life.  Our program continues in the Galilee region – the center of Jesus’ life and ministry.  We then journey to Jerusalem to trace Jesus’ passion and to explore sites associated with the Jewish temple and other important historical sites.  We visit Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus.  We will journey along the Dead Sea to visit the enchanting sites of Masada and Qumran and then end our journey at Emmaus – celebrating the presence of the Risen Lord whose empty tomb we will have visited earlier that day  - and Caesarea Maritima,  ancient Roman administrative seat in Palestine and port from which Paul embarks to bring the Good News to the Gentiles.  We hope you’ll join us on this journey of faith and discovery!
