Health, Healing and Conversion in the Ignatian Tradition
Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing Alumni and Friends
program number
25.10671
Dean Lorna Finnegan invites you to join Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing Alumni and friends on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and northeast Spain. Fr. David DeMarco and Dr. Ann Solari-Twadell will lead the pilgrimage.
Loyola University Chicago draws on a rich legacy of Jesuit education and mission rooted in the visionary life and work of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This pilgrimage affords you with an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of St Bernadette and St Ignatius while gaining an appreciation for the context of their conversions and the inspiration for their ministries. We will visit their birthplaces and travel to places that were pivotal in their transformation – including Lourdes, Xavier, Zaragoza, Montserrat, Manresa and finally Barcelona. Through on-site visits, liturgy, study and dialogue, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the values, vision, history and work of Jesuit institutions of higher learning. We will experience these pilgrimage sites from a perspective of health and healing from a whole person perspective while reflecting on the "call" for transformation in our own lives.
